Photography in Berlin: a meeting place for the best of the best
The rooms of the Museum of Photography, part of the National Museums in Berlin, are open and flooded with light. Here you will find, among other things, works by Berlin-born Helmut Newton, who perfectly staged his models. Also born near Berlin was Andreas Feininger, known for his black-and-white photographs of Chicago and New York. The Andreas Feininger House was built in his honour. Every two years, Germany's largest festival of photography, the EMOP, takes place in Berlin, and throughout the year you can find changing photo exhibitions in various houses and galleries. Here is a selection. And in September, another location for the art of photography will open with the Fotografiska.
