Parallel Realities

The exhibition showcases works by around 30 artists, selected through an international open call. A jury chose the most outstanding works on the topic.

Originally conceived as a medium for representing reality, photography ultimately conveys a fragmented view. Its dynamic ability to both reflect and reshape reality places photographers in an ambiguous role.

The exhibition explores this aspect from different angles: as artists, they have the freedom to both represent and transform reality. New image-producing technologies are also changing the context of reception.

This diversity is reflected in the selection of participating artists, who come from all over the world and thus bring their own perspectives on parallel realities. They invite the audience to explore a visual landscape in which reality is not only depicted but also questioned.
