With the photo exhibition ‘The living city. A photographic game of encounters’, the German Museum of Technology is taking part in this year's European Month of Photography Berlin (EMOP) from 6 March.

Through the eye of the camera, the essence of the city will be playfully explored: What are the overarching principles of being human in the city? How does the planned city function? Where does the planned transform into something lived differently through alternative utilisation concepts?

With 70 photographs, the Berlin photography collective ‘Cadavre Exquis’ takes visitors to the exhibition on a photographic research trip. The images are part of a coherent overall work of art that has been created over the past six months in three different association games.

In the exhibition, visitors can follow and add to these aesthetic chains of association.
