The Kommunale Galerie Berlin is presenting the group exhibition hypernatural, which deals with the complex relationships between humans and nature. In their photographic works, nine renowned artists reflect on the far-reaching effects of human activity on the environment, addressing current social issues.
About the exhibition
The hypernatural exhibition addresses the interactions between society and nature in times of global crisis. Climate change, species extinction, wars, refugee crises, pandemics and artificial intelligence are permanently changing the world. The artists explore these processes and depict their consequences in multi-layered images.
Their works combine the past and the present to show how human intervention is shaping the future of our planet. Despite their different stylistic devices and thematic focuses, a coherent overall picture emerges that reflects the pressing issues of our time. The exhibition provides space for complex thought processes and opens up new perspectives on the interplay between the natural and supernatural.
