Music & Festival-Highlights 2025
Billie Eilish, Bruce Springsteen, Iggy Pop, Iron Maiden, Patti Smith, Nina Chuba, the Pixies, Taylor the Creator, Herbert Grönemeyer and Helge Schneider, all of them - and many more - are coming to Berlin in 2025. The line-up of megastars in the capital is so large that on some evenings, music fans have to choose one of several major concerts. And that's not even taking into account the smaller music events, jazz, classical music, operas, musicals and other exciting events in Berlin. We have put together some of the concert highlights in Berlin for 2025. Our tips for your big gig in Berlin!

1 Mega concerts at Olympiastadion, Uber-Arena & Waldbühne

With the Velodrome, the Uber Arena , the Waldbühne and the Olympiastadion, Berlin has four venues that can accommodate more than 10.
The Olympiastadion will be rocking Bruce Springsteen in 2025 (11 June). June), Linkin Park (18. June), ACDC (30. June) and Lollapalooza will also be playing the Olympic site again this year (12 & 13 June). The line-up includes Justin Timberlake, J-Hope and Mother Mother.
Helene Fischer fans should make a note of 13 June 2026. Tickets for her 360° Stadion Tour at Berlin's Olympiastadion are already on sale.

In the Uber Arena Berlin, several rock and pop stars will take to the stage every month in 2025, including Billie Eilish (9. May), Usher (1, 2 & 4. May), Tyler, The Creator (12. May), Twenty One Pilots (8 April), Shrin David (24 April), Santana (13 June), Kylie Minoque (16 June). June), Nine Inch Nails (1. July), Lionel Richie (3. July), Ayliva (15, 16 & 18. September), Montez (27 September), One Republic (2. October), Sting (16. October), Simply Red (19 October). October), Katy Perry (21. October), Nina Chuba (9. November), Jamiroquai (19. November) and Kontra K (24 to 27 November).
Despite the double concert, Herbert Grönemeyer's performance at the Velodrom in September is already sold out, as is Robbie Williams at the Waldbühne. Tickets are still available for the second Berlin concert by Iron Maiden at the Waldbühne, for Neil Young (3. July), SIDO (5 July) and SIDO (5 July). July) and Roland Kaiser (16 August).

2 More rock & pop concerts

In addition to these mega stages, Berlin also offers the Columbiahalle, the Tempodrom, the Max-Schmeling-Halle and the Zitadelle Spandau are four more concert venues for rock, pop and large events. Up to 8,000 people can be seated in the audience stands here. Other exciting music venues are the Parkbühne Wuhlheide, the Huxley's Neue Welt, the SchwuZ, the Kesselhaus in the Kulturbrauerei, Ritter Butzke, the Festsaal Kreuzberg, the Astra Kulturhaus or the Heimathafen Neukölln.
The club scene in Berlin also has some exciting venues for concerts, including the SO36, the Lido, the Silent Green, the Frannz Club, the Prachtwerk, Gretchen, the Privatclub, Urban Spree, the Badehaus or the Kantine im Berghain. 3 Jazz: Concerts & festivals in Berlin 2025

In addition to the concert highlights, music is playing everywhere in Berlin's smaller clubs & bars every evening. In the established jazz clubs such as A-Trane, Quasimodo, Zig Zag and Yorkschlösschen, you can hear international greats and exciting up-and-coming projects. Smaller venues as well as the established clubs regularly host jam sessions, most of them once a week, the Hat Bar even every night from 10.30 pm. Bill Evans, Kenny Garret (28 March at Zig Zag), Tobias Meinhart (5 April at Zig Zag) or Disco Inferno (26 April at Quasimodo) are on the programme alongside many others.

4 highlights for classical music fans

The Rundfunkchor Berlin celebrates its centenary in 2025 with many classics and the Musikfest Berlin from 30 August to 23 September 2025. August to 23 September 2025, the world's best symphony orchestras and choirs will be performing in the city.
Don't miss the Festtage der Staatsoper in Berlin's most historic opera house on the Linden boulevard. From 11 to 21 April, unforgettable concerts and opera performances await you here, including top-class guest orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra or the Orchestre de Paris, and of course the excellent Staatskapelle Berlin.
Another highlight for classical music fans in Berlin is definitely the Berlin Philharmonic concert at the end of the season on 28 June 2025. This time, the world-famous orchestra under the direction of Gustavo Dudamel will bring Latin American sounds and rhythms to the Waldbühne.
The Classic Open Air invites you to come along from 17 to 21 July. From 17 to 21 July, Gendarmenmarkt invites you to enjoy classical music in the open air against the historic backdrop of the Gendarmenmarkt, which only reopened in March 2025. Jazz star Gregory Porter, world star soprano Anna Netrebko and star tenor Yusiv Eyvazov will also be performing. The series will be opened by the chief conductor of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Joana Mallwitz.
5 Classical Open Air & Candlelight Concerts

Perfect for music-loving families with children is the Klassik Open Air im Britzer Garten, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025 with "Symphony & Sounds - Classical, Rock and Pop" to create a very special mix of styles from Smetana's Moldau to Bruce Springsteen's "The River" and the Beachboys' surfing medley for a summery atmosphere.
With currently seven major orchestras, plus the orchestras of Berlin's three opera houses and the Akademie für Alte Musik, Berlin offers an exciting classical music programme all year round. There are also smaller classical music events at some unusual and typically Berlin venues such as the Piano Salon Christophori, a piano workshop.

The Candlelight Concerts, where you can experience music in atmospheric venues by the light of hundreds of candles, are a global trend and are also popular in Berlin. You can experience an impressive backdrop for live music in the concert halls of the former DDR-Funkhaus in der Nalepastraße. 6 festivals & street parties

In Berlin, music is playing everywhere, even on the streets and squares of the capital. Highlights every year include the Kreuzberg-Festival, Berlin's biggest street festival. From 27 to 29 June 2025, Kreuzbergstraße will be transformed into a musical festival mile with three stages featuring 60 artists and bands. The 48 Stunden Neukölln festival is also definitely worth a trip to Berlin, where you can discover the musical and artistic side of the multicultural neighbourhood for two days and two nights from 7 pm on 27 June until 7 pm on 29 June.

For Christopher Street Day attracts the queer community on 26 July. July, dancing and partying to electro and techno sounds through the city. And at the Karneval der Kulturen, the colourful costumes and a wide variety of multicultural music styles create a great atmosphere.
Don't miss the beginning of summer in Berlin. The whole city will be transformed into a stage for the Fête de la Musique on 21 June. Music will be played on the streets, in the parks and also in bars and pubs. Most of the events are free of charge.

And if you are interested in pop culture, the Pop Culture Festival from 25 to 30 August offers more than just concerts and music. from 25 to 30 August offers not only concerts and music, but also readings, talks, films and a broad discourse programme that places pop culture in a socio-political context.
7 music & electro festivals in Berlin and the surrounding area

In addition to the Lollapalooza on 12. & 13 July on the grounds around the Olympiastadion, there are a whole series of music festivals in the Berlin area that can be wonderfully combined with a city trip to Berlin. The best known include the Wurzelfest 80 kilometres south of Berlin in Jüterborg (5 to 8 June 2025), the Hive Festival from 20 to 22 June and the Whole from 18 to 21 July 2025 at the Olympic Stadium. to 21 July 2025 at the Ferropolis site, the Fusion from 5 to 29 June at the Lärz airfield or the Feel Festival from 24 to 27 July at Bergheider See. Look forward to long weekends with music, art, workshops and lovingly designed open-air stages.
In Berlin, the RSO.Berlin invites you to dance the night away at the Home Again Club Festival from 25 May to 2 June. And the Strandbad Grünau has also booked a great line-up for summer 2025, including Paul van Dyk on 14 June.
8 Local & Underground tips

If you want to discover a little more of Berlin than just the big concert halls while gig tripping, you don't have to miss out on music. Most bars and clubs with live music can be found in Neukölln, Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain and Mitte. The Schokoladen in Ackerstraße in Mitte is a communal residential and cultural project with a stage and bar on the ground floor. Here you can still feel the free spirit of the wild 1990s, just like in the Club of Polish Failures right next door.
The House of Music on the RAW site is a meeting place for musicians and anyone interested in the subject, and there are several other live music venues such as the Cassiopeia, the Astra or the Lokschuppen. In Neukölln, the Klunkerkranich on the roof of a mall to dance and music and in Friedrichshain the Hoppetosse swings to electro and jazz sounds on the Spree.
In summer, of course, the music plays outside, in Berlin beach bars and beer gardens or just like that. Let yourself go - from the street musicians on Museum Island to the concert series on the island of youth to a day on the water with music at Strandbad Wendeschloss or Strandbad Grünau in Köpenick.
