It might seem a bit shaky, but slacklining is the latest sport trend being seen for some time in Berlin's parks and gardens. Slackers, as these modern-day tightrope walkers are called, stretch a polyester or nylon webbing between two trees. They see it as "letting your soul hang loose", a kind of yoga, if you will, but a metre above the ground. That's how high the webbing is secured around the trees, thus minimising the risk of injury, if not the risk of falling, because it can be quite tricky to get used to. Concentration and balance are what you need to be successful at slacklining.
