Lubben is in a very scenic location at the narrowest point in the Spree valley. Many sights in the town were destroyed during the Second World War, but the late Renaissance palace, parts of the city walls, and the Paul-Gerhardt-Kirche did survive. The church is an attractive late-Gothic, single-nave church made of brick in the style typical of the region.
