Nicola Rost's solo debut, which will be released in 2024, will be different, new and yet familiar, tried and tested and yet full of courage. A step towards the audience, an outstretched hand from the stage. Nicola, founder, author and producer of the Berlin band Laing, is now performing solo.

She has climbed peaks and celebrated successes: top ten singles, sold-out concerts, Eurovision participation, TikTok trends. Laing touched the soul, and Nicola Rost was right in the middle of it - always part of a band, a complex stage concept, a costume quartet. Now she is shedding all these protective and alienating layers.
What remains is the reduction to the maximum. Dancing synthpop. A voice that sometimes scatters the light to all corners of the world, sometimes focuses it precisely and burning hot on individual moments, moments in life and passions. What emerges is a cone of light instead of the gala evening. A new closeness instead of a polyphonic staging. “Just wait,” promises Nicola, “it will get even better.”
