The winter program of the Biosphere Potsdam
In winter, things get adventurous in the Potsdam Biosphere. Young researchers, big and small, are encouraged to take a close look in the green thicket. The Potsdam jungle is home to more than 20,000 exotic plants and around 140 tropical animal species.
Tropical eye-catchers with an aha effect
Along the high trail, you go on an exciting puzzle journey through the jungle. Practical bamboo "telescopes" help you find the hidden solutions. The puzzle sheet is available at the ticket office. The winter program is included in the ticket price for the Potsdam Biosphere.
Special exhibition: #NoFilter
From December 12, 2024
"We often do not see our world as it is, but through a negative filter," is Hans Rosling's thesis. The Swedish professor, who has since died, made it his mission to consciously recognize this negative filter and give people around the world the tools to bypass it.
The traveling exhibition #NoFilter is inspired by his book Factfulness* and wants to enable visitors to do exactly what the title suggests: see the world without (information) filters. Examples from the area of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) use interactive exhibition elements to illustrate how the information filter influences perception. Visitors are challenged to rethink their assumptions about global developments.
The special exhibition #NoFilter is already included in the ticket price for the Potsdam Biosphere.
