Berlin is Germany's most important destination for conventions and meetings. Each year, an average of 218 conferences and conventions take place in the German capital, 50 of which take place at the Berlin Convention Center (bcc). The bcc can accommodate over 2,000 guests. Technology conventions like the VDA, the convention of the German Automobile Makers Association, and conferences on medicine and healthcare draw in the crowds.
