The popular concert format ‘Kiezsalon’ is back in the 120-year-old building of the Musikbrauerei in Prenzlauer Berg, where three exciting musicians will present their artistic work on 5 October.

On Saturday, 5 October, the focus is on Irish music. The Kiezsalon crosses the country's diverse artistic landscape to present the Berlin premieres of versatile synth-pop musician Henry Earnest, blues revivalist Muireann Bradley and newcomer electronic producer Conor.

Dublin-based producer Henry Earnest is celebrated for his dreamy, experimental pop.

Muireann Bradley is a 17-year-old fingerpicking guitarist and singer from County Donegal in Ireland who specialises in country, ragtime and Piedmont blues from the 1920s and 1930s.

In his latest musical project, Berlin-based Irish artist Conor is guided by his exploration of dancefloor sounds that juxtapose functionality and abstraction. From ambient and downtempo to industrial and glitch, his eclectic tastes merge into a unique, forward-thinking sound that defies easy categorisation.

For this special Irish edition of Kiezsalon, the audience is invited to move through the pleasantly eerie and normally closed bunkers of the music brewery to experience site-specific installations by visual artists Ireland 3000 and Helena Hamilton.

Ireland 3000's striking woodcuts reflect on and question the profound influence of Christianity on our society, showing how it has shaped our perception of morality and spirituality.
Belfast-based artist Helena Hamilton works both visually and sonically. She employs an aesthetic of simplicity, which is expressed in her works in minimalist forms.

As Kiezsalon events are usually sold out, we recommend booking tickets in advance.
