The discovery of the magnificently furnished, almost unplundered tomb of the young pharaoh Tutankhamun on November 4, 1922 by Howard Carter made the child king world-famous overnight.
Immerse yourself in a world full of godlike rulers, architectural wonders of the world and burial chambers full of gold, a fascinating civilization with its mysteries hidden in the desert sands and melting in the waters of the Nile.
TUTANCHAMUN - THE IMMERSIVE EXHIBITION EXPERIENCE comes to Berlin as a new, digital multimedia highlight and takes you on a journey to legendary Ancient Egypt and its secrets.
You will be whisked away to a time when the gods of the pyramid land awoke and enchanted when the imposing temples of ancient Egypt come to life before your eyes as impressively and colorfully as they did back then.
Almost hand in hand with the icon of ancient Egypt, you will learn more about the world of Tutankhamun, the mythology of ancient Egypt, the gods and the mysterious cult of the dead in a fun way.
As an all-round experience for the whole family, the TUTANCHAMUN exhibition invites you on a fascinating adventure trip to Ancient Egypt in several adventure rooms:
- In the exhibition room, you will discover the impressive sarcophagus together with the mummy and death mask of Tutankhamun, which have been reconstructed in original size. Exhibits are displayed in showcases and illustrate the special wealth with which Tutankhamun's tomb was furnished.
- In the virtual reality area of the exhibition, you become the heroine of a journey through the labyrinthine paths of the Book of the Dead to the Court of Osiris and, if you successfully pass all the tests, attain eternal life.
- In the immersive show, the highlight of the exhibition, you are immersed in the history of Ancient Egypt in six intertwining stories. The journey in this multimedia experience takes you back to the Nile region, from the fertile banks of the river to the arid desert where breathtaking structures were built. You will experience a world full of magic and symbolism that still captivates us with its mysteries today.
- If you also venture into the metaverse, you will literally travel through time and space and wander around the Valley of the Kings. You move freely in space, are transported back to the year 1922 and enter Howard Carter's expedition camp; you explore Tutankhamun's tomb on your own, the treasures are within your grasp.
