Pogrom commemoration on the stone in the forecourt of the Johanneskirche Frohnau on November 9th at 6:00 p.m.

In front of the church there is a monument in honor of the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, which was erected in 1997. On the relief of the monument you can see a mosaic made of puzzle pieces on which the names of citizens from Frohnau who were kidnapped and killed during the Holocaust are recorded. The inscription on the monument reads: “Persecuted – Expelled – Murdered – Forgotten?”

Every year on November 9th, the community gathers for a special devotion and subsequent lecture to commemorate this terrible time. The fate of a Frohnau citizen from this time is also remembered.
