Two opposing mirrors offer us an astounding geometry, an impossible to comprehend infinity. Nevertheless, Bergson tells us: ‘Intellectualised space is time’. To think about time, you have to hold it in space, stop it, capture it in an area.
Edgardo Navarro's work transports us into this space-time. It is not a fleeting perception, but one that requires several moments, that encourages us to contemplate for a long time, to lose ourselves in time and enjoy a strangely familiar and carefully crafted world. Landscapes and alcoves are extensions of each other, and the figures that inhabit them seem absent but present in several dimensions.
