Albin Lee Meldau's role models always include Sam Cooke and Van Morrison. When you listen to the Swedish singer/songwriter, you immediately know why.

He found other idols in his family: his mother, Annika Blennerhed, a professional folk-rock and jazz singer, and his father, Max Meldau, who played New Wave in the early '80s. He has taken some things from them into his music.

He learned to play the trumpet, sang in a choir and formed his first band at the age of twelve. But things didn't get serious until he became the lead singer of the retro-soul band Magnolia. And then things really took off.

Albin Lee Meldau´s special combination of voice, musicality and storytelling has been celebrated internationally. His music has been played on BBC, he has appeared on several British television shows, and he has collaborated with some of America's greatest songwriters and producers.
