Discover how science is shaping our future

Berlin Science Week invites visitors to explore the latest breakthroughs in scientific innovation, collaboration and discovery. Bringing together over 140 organisations and experts from all over the world, this international festival hosts a series of engaging and interactive events, from panel discussions and science slams to hands-on workshops. It's an incredible opportunity for the public to gain insight into cutting-edge research and a deeper understanding of our world.

Berlin Science Week at a glance

The festival is an international platform designed to foster dialogue between scientists, innovators and the public. It features over 200 events spread across two main hubs – CAMPUS at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin and the FORUM at Holzmarkt 25 – as well as many other locations throughout the city. The events, which include workshops, keynotes, hackathons and science slams, are designed to encourage collaboration and the exchange of ideas.

The concept is simple: science has the power to unite us, and by sharing knowledge, we can tackle the world's most pressing challenges together. Throughout the festival, you'll encounter a range of topics – from climate change and sustainable urban living to quantum technologies and the ethics of artificial intelligence.

Discover Berlin Science Week

Berlin Science Week was founded in 2016 alongside the prestigious Falling Walls Science Summit, which honours the world's best scientific breakthroughs. What began as a supplementary event has since evolved into a major festival in its own right, with more than 150 organisations and 200 events across 80 locations.

While many science festivals focus on specific fields, Berlin Science Week deliberately embraces an interdisciplinary approach. The event brings together experts from fields as varied as particle physics, climate change, urban living and even the science of music. This openness allows for a richer, more holistic understanding of the world, as disciplines come together to address some of the most pressing issues facing society today.
