On 16 October at 7 pm, there will be an evening for Jan Zimmermann at the Glaspalast. The ensemble and numerous companions will come together to perform scenes from Jan's work and commemorate him.

In 1994, a group of theatre enthusiasts and artists founded the ‘Hexenkessel Hoftheater’ and performed their first plays in the backyard of a squatted house. With a great deal of idealism, they brought this project to bloom, which is still alive and kicking today and is loved by many people far beyond Berlin.

We were deeply shocked when ensemble co-founder and in-house director Jan Zimmermann and director and colleague Luca Straub left us in quick succession this summer. We sorely miss both of them. Continuing the theatre work in their spirit is a special mission for us.
