Born to a Portuguese family on the tiny island of Guernsey, Gomes combines influences from traditional, emotive fado folk music with progressive modern inspiration.

Diamonds & Demons is the debut album by musician Nessi Gomes, with compositions and lyrics of rare inventiveness and beauty. The resulting stories of darkness and light allow for a deeper exploration of the human condition and collective fears and torments.

A series of detailed, hauntingly atmospheric and lushly textured avant-ballads - a musician whose work references Björk and Kate Bush, but also bears her own signature, with Portuguese overtones and hints of hope and terror.
