Photographer Johanna-Maria Fritz finds her subjects in conflict and war zones, in failing states, among persecuted minorities, on the margins of society. The exhibition at the Willy-Brandt-Haus shows selected photographs from the last 10 years.
‘Zeit der Umbrüche’ (Time of Change) takes a look at the already impressive work of the only 30-year-old. Fritz works journalistically, her pictures appear in international media. She often works in parallel and with interruptions on different topics and always returns to places and people. Usually she stays longer, lives with the people she photographs, and develops new approaches from their work, which she then pursues.
The exhibition is presented by the Freundeskreis Willy-Brandt-Haus e.V. as part of EMOP Berlin - European Month of Photography.
