The Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1962, is one of Japan's leading orchestras and is based in Tokyo. It is supported by the Yomiuri Shimbun, one of Japan's largest daily newspapers, and is known for its world-class performances of both classical and contemporary music.
