Every year, UNICEF Germany honours pictures and photo series by professional photojournalists that document the personality and living conditions of children with its international ‘UNICEF Photo of the Year’ competition.
The winning pictures of this year's competition will be awarded at the end of December and then presented at the Willy-Brandt-Haus from 30 January to 27 April 2025. The exhibition is being shown for the fourth time by the Freundeskreis Willy-Brandt-Haus in cooperation with UNICEF Germany.
Event: ‘25 Years of UNICEF Photo of the Year’: 11 March 2025 | 7:00 p.m.
On 11 March, the focus will be on how children's growing up has changed worldwide over the past 25 years. What progress has been made, and what dangers do children face today?
For 25 years, the international photo competition UNICEF Photo of the Year has been honouring outstanding photojournalistic works. The award-winning pictures impressively document the reality of children's lives – the challenges they face, but also their extraordinary strength despite often difficult conditions.
