Heinz Bude in conversation
Although the staging of differences is part of the political game of a democracy, polarizations are increasingly being dramatized to such an extent that the only choice left is between friend and enemy. In his conversations, Heinz Bude explores the use of "freedom" as a fighting term that polarizes the public: the desire for freedom from a patronizing state - while at the same time longing for authoritarian structures.
This evening, the type of authoritarian rebel will also be discussed and the underlying feeling of social insult will be discussed. The division between right and left will be difficult in the discussion, but it cannot be avoided.
