The Monteverdi Choir Hamburg, founded in 1955, is one of the most renowned choirs in Germany. Its diverse repertoire covers the entire spectrum of choral music from the Renaissance to the present day. Influential record and CD recordings as well as numerous first prizes in competitions have brought the choir international fame.
In 2018, Antonius Adamske took over as the third conductor in the choir's long history. As a specialist in early music, he now brings his own accents to performances, especially French baroque music.
