Cameras are just as diverse as the people who press the shutter release. The exhibition "Fascination of the Moment" therefore also focuses on people and their portraits. Take a journey through the 200-year history of photography. Everyone who has a mobile phone today also has a camera.
The result: swimming in an unmanageable flood of images. And yet there are always photos that catch the world's attention. The permanent exhibition on photographic technology in the German Museum of Technology shows how the technology of photography has managed to capture the fascination of the moment for almost 200 years. One area is the history of technology, from heliography to 3D photographic technology with concave mirror projection. Photographic practice is the second major theme, from private portraits and advertising photography to war and spy photography.
