In 2024, the cultural Christmas market ORANKELICHTER will once again transform the Orankesee lido into an atmospheric Christmas world by the lake. On the three Advent weekends in December 2024, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, there will be concerts, fairy tale readings, fire juggling, campfires on the sandy beach, children's crafts, international delicacies, hot drinks and curling.

On Saturday, 7 December, the cultural Christmas market starts, which in 2024 will have Iceland's mythology as its theme, with Icelandic Christmas trolls, their stories, as well as delicacies and gifts.
- The stories of the Icelandic Yule Lads will be embodied by the female-dominated performance groups Hammerflausch and Fabula Furiosa. There will be delicacies and Christmas gifts from the northern island to match.
- On stage, among others, the jazz band Pommeskätzchen, Das Komponistenviertel, the Orankechor, Emma Greenfield with her children's music programme, nadia & Moore, Pyromantics and many others.
- There will also be free children's arts and crafts, food trucks, readings, Christmas karaoke, fire juggling, a campfire by the lake, a wonderfully illuminated lake landscape and many stalls for browsing and shopping.
