Born in Cuba and now at home in Germany for several years after performing all over the world, Pacheco is regarded as one of the most versatile and brilliant jazz pianists of the younger generation.
The encounter with the man with the irresistible soul voice from the southern Black Forest came about in the context of her CD ‘Duets’. From this first collaboration, the two have developed a varied and at the same time self-contained and very intimate programme.
The duo's shared joy in exchanging ideas across genre boundaries is evident at every moment, as is their curiosity for spontaneous impulses and improvisational escapades.
