This is the general finding: the culture of debate in Germany is in a desolate state.
Political scientist Julia Reuschenbach and radio journalist Korbinian Frenzel analyse our ability to debate from the perspective of the experts involved.
They organise the broad tableau of actors involved and examine who is falling victim to which illusions. What defects the discourse system suffers from, what new challenges arise.
Finally, they outline a way out of the misery in order to introduce ideas, solutions and concrete proposals for action.
