In her exhibition "Happy New Year С Новым Годом З Новим Роком Happy New Year", the artist and documentary filmmaker Jelena Jeremejewa brings together New Year's speeches from the Soviet Union, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and, in some cases, the USA in an audiovisual art installation.
With the speeches, which date from 1982 to the present, Jelena Jeremejewa addresses the change in the political verbalization of reality. Jeremejewa subjects the speeches to her own order and shows from a migrant perspective how communities and spaces are dissolved and redesigned through words of power.
