Andrea Reischies on her art: "The trees are in front of me. They are tall, green and brown, smell earthy and fresh. But how do these sensory impressions enter my head?
As a painter, I am fixated on images, but how do I capture them and how do I stack them in my little brain? I know almost nothing about that. That's why I use painting as a vehicle to familiarize myself with the brain, the neurons. They take in the images, break them down, add to them and evaluate them. Meaningful things are stored on our hard disk, the cerebral cortex, and I rely on biology, the latest microscopy and a lot of imagination.
PLEASE NOTE: It is not MUST to reserve online, but it helps the team to prepare the event well.
