The open societies of the West are threatened by authoritarian, external opponents, but also by right-wing, left-wing and religious fundamentalists within. For decades, radical minorities have been underestimated, allowed into the country through migration and sometimes concealed with a muliculti cloak. But they do not tolerate what has made them great: Freedom of expression and equality for all.

Identitarians from the right and left are poisoning the public climate, anti-Semites and enemies of the state have thrown off their masks.

Hamed Abdel-Samad learnt what is at stake as a young man in Egypt and through the death threats in Germany. In this book, he issues a warning to us all: fight for freedom.

  • Language: German

Hamed Abdel-Samad, born near Cairo in 1972, came to Germany in 1995 and is a German citizen. Although he has been living under permanent police protection for more than ten years after a fatwa was issued against him, the most important critic of political Islam in this country will not be silenced.

Abdel-Samad runs a YouTube channel in Arabic that is visited millions of times, where he interprets the Koran historically and politically.
