Do plants have sex? The answer to this question was found by the botanist Johann Gottlieb Gleditsch in 1749. He used a dwarf palm in the Berlin Botanical Garden - still owned by the Botanical Museum today - to prove the sexuality of plants. But that is only the beginning of the story.
Why reproduction in the plant kingdom is so complex, what forms of pollination of flowers and the spread of seeds there are, what animals or the wind have to do with it - you will find out all this on this exciting tour of the Botanical Garden.
