Discover Days of Jewish Culture

The Days of Jewish Culture festival is an occasion to reflect on history, identity and memory. First held in 1987, it is now one of the most important cultural events in Berlin, serving as a bridge between Jewish traditions and the broader community.

Rooted in centuries of displacement and persecution, Jewish humour – another hallmark of the festival – is known for its self-irony and wit, offering a means of emotional survival. Through music, comedy and literature, the Days of Jewish Culture festival celebrates this spirit of resilience.

Visitors will also experience Jewish religious practices firsthand, as public services are held alongside concerts and lectures. This creates a unique space for interfaith dialogue and understanding. The festival offers a welcoming environment where visitors can learn and engage with Jewish life in all its complexity.
