It is always much too short, the summer in Berlin. There is so much to do, to discover and to try that it would last for a whole year. We have packed 11 highlights for the perfect Berlin summer into one sunny day. Make this summer the best summer ever - at least!

Tip 1: Enjoy ice cream for breakfast

Whether white chocolate pistachio caramel, strawberry basil or chocolate ginger, in Berlin's ice cream parlors you'll find the right flavor for every breakfast taste. Definitely a coffee ice cream, too, and vegan options anyway. If you prefer it classic, get an iced coffee. And in most ice cream parlors you'll also get steaming hot variations of the caffeinated wake-up drink.

Tip 2: Paddle on the SUP board towards the sun

And after breakfast? There is nothing better than getting out on the water, of course - and then always towards the sun. Stand-up paddling is a relaxing way to discover Berlin from the water, or you can get some exercise. Most rental shops offer introductory courses and SUP yoga classes. With a team board you can paddle together on the Spree or Havel. If you want to do a little Berlin sightseeing, you start at the Funkhaus, past Plänterwald and to the Rummelsburger Bucht. At a stop at the "Insel der Jugend" you can take a refreshing break in the beer garden for a morning pint.
