Events without hurdles
Whether it's a pram, a wheelchair or the desire for information in an appropriate font size: for many people, travelling presents a particular challenge. Back in 2013, Berlin was named a Barrier-Free City by the EU Commission. Since then, the German capital has continuously improved and expanded its barrier-free offerings - always with the goal of making "travel for all" comfortable.
A large number of events in Berlin can be attended comfortably and without obstacles, and the barrier-free venues are differentiated and certified according to their offerings. You can enjoy events in the Humboldt Forum as well as in the Friedrichstadt-Palast, in museums and memorials as well as in Berlin's stage world.
Berlin's public transport system also offers a wide range of services. The new underground line U5, the so-called "museum line", connects 26 stations completely barrier-free.
