Inspired by "Christmas at Kew"

Modeled on the “Christmas at Kew” held at the Royal Botanic Garden in London, the Christmas Garden Berlin first opened in 2016 and quickly became a must-see event for Christmas in Berlin.

An hour and a half walk

During this walk of just over 1.5 hours, you can dive into an ocean of lights at the bend of 30 brilliant illuminations. To regain your strength, the traditional Santa Clause chalet offers typical Christmas specialties. The restaurant serves cheese fondues and soups, among other things. In addition, other Christmas specialties stalls punctuate the walk in the Christmas Garden Berlin, and offer eg. mulled wine, hot chocolate, rösti, cottage cheese balls and much more.

Plan your visit: book your ticket in peace in advance online and use the fast queue when the day comes. Don't worry, you won't have to leave the garden after just an hour. Enjoy the Christmas Garden Berlin until 10 p.m. By the way: it is on weekends and before 6.30 p.m. that visitors are most numerous to Christmas Garden Berlin.

However, the darker the night, the more captivating the installations. So don't hesitate to come later in the day!

Young or old: The Christmas Garden Berlin is an unmissable event for all visitors. The walkable aisles make it easy to access for strollers and wheelchairs. But don't forget to dress warmly. All the lights are installed in the open air.

The Christmas Garden Berlin is located in the botanical garden Berlin-Lichterfelde. Unfortunately, the botanical garden does not have its own parking lot, but it is well served by bus, suburban trains and the metro. If you come by car, however, you will find several paid car parks nearby. We recommend that you use public transport.
