Schermützelsee
A literary masterpiece
The Schermützelsee is located about 50 kilometres east of Berlin and is the largest lake in the local area known as the Märkische Schweiz. It has been mentioned many times in German literature, for example in German author's famous "Walks through the Mark Brandenburg". In summer, numerous bathers come out to enjoy the clear waters of the lake. The beach offers everything that you could want for a day at the beach, including playgrounds, dining options, and boats for hire.
