Rutz

Love of nature & food culture

Wild herbs and pine cones, lovage and peppercorns ... It smells of meadows, forests and a stroll through the dunes. Because at Rutz, the sensual combination of love and appreciation of nature with fine dining is a philosophy.

Chef Marco Müller sources his produce from local farms, fishermen and breeders wherever possible. Let yourself be taken on a journey back to your childhood memories or breathe in the wonderful aroma of the Japanese charcoal grill ... the world of flavours at Rutz is enchanting!

In 2024 the Michelin Guide honoured Rutz for the fourth time as the only Berlin restaurant with three stars, as well as with the green star for sustainability. Chef Marco Müller focuses on the freshness and origin of all ingredients and works closely with local farms.

The transparency of the kitchen is symbolised by the two-storey wall panel, behind which exquisite ingredients such as spruce needles or kombucha shimmer. And at a bar table opposite the kitchen pass, guests are invited to enjoy a course of their menu standing up and experience the kitchen team in action.

Modern dining culture

The interior with handcrafted walnut elements and high-quality leather upholstery is just as high-quality as the dishes.Modern elegance that signals consistency  but does not close itself off to new influences. This is the only way to ensure quality and a high standard

Opened in 2021 as a wine bar, the Rutz has transformed into a 3-star restaurant with a unique ambience that now focuses on modern dining culture on two floors. The wine rack from the early days can still be found on the ground floor of the Michelin-starred restaurant.

In summer, the idyllic terrace with its vines, vegetable bushes and garden herbs is one of the most beautiful places in the city.
