A city can be written through the mental map of the walkers who traverse it. After two wars and the division by a wall, Berlin has entered the age of gentrification and property speculation and is becoming the target of terrorist attacks and extreme weather events.

The map of the German capital is becoming increasingly confusing and poses a challenge: Can Latin American authors write a syntax for the new map of Berlin in the 21st century from urban spaces characterised by concrete, inequality and violence, where ruins and construction sites coexist or merge seamlessly?
