The exhibition presents 16 photographs of the Berlin Wall, which document everyday life and the changes of the Wall in the divided city. These images are complemented by two motifs that relate to the former remand prison in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen and provide insights into the GDR's oppressive state.

Audio descriptions, which can be accessed via QR codes on your own devices, turn the photographs into speaking images.

This exhibition by the Berlin Wall Foundation was conceived in collaboration with blind and visually impaired people and expanded by the Hohenschönhausen Memorial.
