Naya's curly, fluffy hair draws everyone's attention to her. She constantly receives compliments for it. But secretly, Naya wishes that the others wouldn't focus so much on her appearance. After all, she can do and loves many things: riding a bike, doing cartwheels, painting pictures, singing - she is proud of all of these.

When a child starts teasing Naya about her hair and everyone joins in, she is sad. She hides her hair under a huge hat and never wants to be asked about it again. Luckily, Ella is a new addition to the daycare group. Ella uses an insulin pump and doesn't care if others look at her stupidly because of it. The two girls become best friends and Naya understands that it really doesn't matter what others think! She gains self-confidence and no longer needs the hat.
