Naturpark Stechlin Ruppiner Land

Water as far as the eye can see

With more than one hundred lakes, the Ruppiner Seenland (Ruppin Lakes District) has the most lakes of any district in Brandenburg. Many of them are the rare clear-water lakes. At a depth of 96 metres, Großer Strechlin is the deepest lake in Brandenburg. Swimming and fishing are possible in almost every lake, while paddling is best on the Havel and Rhin rivers. A variety of cycling tours, hiking trails and canoe routes are perfect for exploring and Laufpark Stechlin has the perfect training conditions for joggers, skaters, cyclists and fans of Nordic walking.
