The Lighthouse of Digital Art

An interplay of art and technology

The Lighthouse of Digital Art awaits you on the lively RAW site. In this innovative gallery, the entire space becomes a work of art - and you are right in the centre of it. Over 40 state-of-the-art laser projectors transform walls and floors into unique light installations where you can take selfies, enjoy and simply marvel...

A place where art and technology merge

In the Lighthouse of Digital Art, visitors sit mesmerised amidst unique light shows: this is where art and technology come together to create an impressive show. More than 40 high-resolution laser projectors project digital artworks onto walls and floors - an experience that is rounded off by a magnificent soundscape.

Sitting on comfortable beanbags and mats, you can leave the world outside the doors of the Lighthouse of Digital Art behind you for 45 minutes. The organisers invite visitors to document their stay with photographs: So use the surreal light experience for photos and videos in which you seem to be floating in a parallel universe.

Digital Art on the RAW site

The RAW site in Berlin-Friedrichshain was built in 1867 as the Reichsbahnausbesserungswerk (RAW) and was once used for train maintenance. After its closure in the 1990s, the site developed into a pulsating centre for art, culture and alternative projects. The Lighthouse of Digital Art fits perfectly into this popular cultural area and has been using state-of-the-art projection technology to create immersive digital art experiences since its opening.

What makes the Lighthouse of Digital Art so special

Technology and art work closely together at the Lighthouse of Digital Art, but science also makes an appearance. One highlight of the innovative art spaces is the show The Grand Tour, which takes you on an amazing journey through our solar system and the universe.

  • The fascinating audiovisual show lets you feel the vastness of the universe up close and encourages you to think about your own position in the cosmos.
  • In the Lighthouse of Digital Art, you can become an astronaut: here you can create impressive content for your social media channels and share your journey through the world of digital art with your loved ones.
  • The Lighthouse of Digital Art not only offers an exciting cultural experience for art lovers, but also an immersive experience for the whole family - and you can learn something about space at the same time!
