The "VOICES Performing Arts Festival" is an independent platform that supports the voices of artists who have had to leave their homeland and are looking for new ways to make themselves heard.

The festival, which will take place for the second time in 2024, explores how artistic identity can transcend geographical borders and how displaced artists can redefine themselves in and enrich a new cultural environment.
This year's program focuses on the recent waves of migration from the countries of the former Soviet Union and introduces audiences to remarkable artistic movements and voices of emerging artists.
From November 2nd to 29th, "VOICES" will show new music, dance and theater productions at various locations in Berlin. The focus is on the complexity of cultural and political upheavals on the one hand and the possibilities and effects of modern technologies on the other. The perspective of the "other" develops into a universal metaphor - a lens through which we can better understand the world around us.
In the Radialsystem, the dancer-choreographer Igor Shyshko will be showing his performance “SPELL”, which will be premiered as part of the “VOICES” festival.
In addition, the Berlin Ensemble PHØNIX16 will be presenting works by artists such as Vinko Globokar, Maxim Kolomiiets, Samir TimajChi and Katalin Ladik in a spatial sound installation, exploring the relationship between sound and migration.
With “ALGOS”, the pianist Pavlos Antoniadis will be presenting an extensive concert program in which he will transform movements into sound through the interplay of video, artificial intelligence and live music.
In addition, Ivan Estegneev will be showing his solo performance “The Sorrow of the Demon” as a Berlin premiere, which offers a deep and intimate insight into his experience of exile.
