Love and devotion are the strongest impulses in oriental dance. This is the driving force behind Café am Nil creator Katharina Joumana. Café am Nil is an oriental show in which all the beauty and art of oriental dance is shown in its full bloom.

In her show, she rolls out the broad sequins of this diverse dance like a magnificent carpet from the Middle East.
With Katharina Joumana's ensemble ‘Oriental Roses’ and the ‘Azadeh Dancers’ from her dance school of the same name, she presents wonderful choreographies in dreamlike and imaginative costumes.
The costumes were specially designed for the new show and made in Cairo. And as every year, the Café am Nil will be featuring outstanding guest dancers, such as Esmeralda Colabone from São Paulo. This expressive dancer has danced in almost every country in the Middle East, impresses with her unique artistic dance style and is an internationally acclaimed star of the Oriental dance scene.
Mohamed Kazafy from Cairo, the luminary of Egyptian folklore dance, has been back at the Café am Nil for a long time.
Mohamed Kazafy's powerful and masculine dances give Café am Nil a real Egyptian touch. Mohamed Kazafy is one of the most important choreographers of Egyptian folklore in Egypt and a member of UNESCO's CID ‘United Nations of Dance’.
Viviana, the enchanting dancer from Berlin, is with Café am Nil for the first time and Erika Gamal, the young newcomer and winner of the Cleopatra Festival 2023 in Cairo.
Viviana and Erika provide a breath of fresh air with their graceful dances on the boards that mean the world. Kristina, who grew up in the Oriental Roses ensemble at the Azadeh dance school, impresses with her supple hip movements.
And last but not least, the founder of Café am Nil, Katharina Joumana herself, takes to the stage with her captivating dances and charismatic charisma. Café am Nil immerses the audience in a sensual, exhilarating festival full of the colours and sounds of the Orient with love and devotion to life and allows them to share in the beauty of oriental dance and music culture.
