An evening of dialogue
The Berlin painter Ulrich Baehr has been working with political and historical references since the 1960s. He is now returning to these themes in his painting cycle ‘Comix: Visiting Russian Living Rooms 2019-2024’, which is currently on display in our exhibition rooms.

A central question that Ulrich Baehr asks himself is: What makes Russian civil society tick?
In conversation with him, the Russian writer Victor Erofeev (Yerofeev) and the art historian Dr Eckhart Gillen, we will explore this question and current interpretations of the behaviour of Russian civil society.
