Now a modern classic: Wolfgang Herrndorf's touching, funny road novel about two outsiders.

For weeks, Maik Klingenberg has only been able to think about Tatjana's birthday party, which is supposed to take place at the beginning of the summer holidays. Everyone in the class is invited, only the outsiders didn't get an envelope. Maik is one of them. So his summer vacation begins alone at the pool with 200 euros in pocket money. Anyway, his mother is in rehab again and his father is traveling with his young work colleague.

But suddenly Tschick is standing in front of Maik's garage with a stolen Lada Niva. Tschick, whose real name is Andrei Tschichatschow, was not invited to the party either. So begins an adventurous journey across Brandenburg with the destination: Wallachia.

Alexander Riemenschneider's production shows Herrndorf's famous coming-of-age story of two different young people who have nothing to lose and who find strangers on their doorstep and true friendship on their journey.
