Expert tour with furniture curator Dr. Henriette Graf, SPSG

Under King Frederick II, the New Palace was furnished between 1765 and 1769 with furniture adapted to the needs of the king: desks with a textile-covered, sloping top, bookshelves on the wall to have your books quickly to hand, comfortable sofas for pleasant work.

Dr Henriette Graf explains how the valuable furniture came about and opens the doors of the chests of drawers and cupboards that are otherwise closed.
