From July 18 to August 31, 2024, the Italian chef Francesco Contiero will bring his favorite dishes from his homeland to Berlin. With fresh ingredients, personal childhood memories and his typical creativity, Contiero conjures up "La dolce Vita" in the capital in three fabulous courses.


The starter is a carbonara pasta, a classic from Rome that impresses with the high quality of the few ingredients and Contiero's perfect ratio of flavors. For the main course, the top chef serves ossobuco with gremolata, a dish to which he devotes a lot of time to let it melt on the tongue.

It is accompanied by an "Insalata mista". The finale is a fresh, summery strawberry creation - more summer in taste is hardly possible.

The drinks accompaniment also takes up the Italian theme: sommelier Sascha Hammer has selected Italian wines that give the menu additional expressiveness and lightness.

With this summer holiday special, Francesco Contiero is continuing his approach of offering guests something new every month in addition to the seasonally changing menu.

The holiday fun now guarantees an unforgettable summer in Berlin - or in other words: Berlin or Rome - the main thing is Italy.

The Irma la Douce restaurant is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 6 p.m. The summer (holiday) special is available from July 18 to August 31.
