Galerie Max Hetzler, Berlin, presents "Stories of Your Lives", an exhibition that brings together contemporary artists who expand and challenge the genre of portraiture.

"Stories of Your Lives" - Portrait art redefined

Curated by Eugenio Re Rebaudengo, the show explores the portrait as a narrative medium that goes beyond physical resemblance and reflects personal and collective experiences. Inspired by Ted Chiang's speculative stories, the works question identity, memory and the future.

The exhibition features artists such as Giulia Andreani, Glenn Brown, Ragnar Kjartansson, Danielle Mckinney, Victor Man and many more. Using techniques ranging from classical realistic representation to abstraction and distortion, they create intimate, mythological or symbolic imagery.

"Stories of Your Lives" invites you to experience the portrait as a living, changeable genre that captures the complexity of human existence.
