An I, a you - a love story, floating between near and far. In "the sky beneath us" (2025), Jannes Hansen unfolds a lyrical world in which hope and despair, longing and loss touch each other. In dense, atmospheric poems, he draws the topography of a complex relationship that is reflected in words, sounds and images - a poetic score about the fate of two lovers.
Accompanied by Kalina Paris Mateeva's fine illustrations and Wenzel Benn's melancholic, expansive saxophone improvisations, Jannes Hansen's poems open up a space of experience in which language and music intertwine.
The artists invite you into a "land of flying crystals" and, after the performance, talk about the process of creating the volume, the background and the motives of their collaboration.
